Each year, the WCBA membership elects a president, president-elect, two vice-presidents, a treasurer, secretary and three or more directors. The directors’ terms are for three years, and the officer positions are for one year.

The Westchester County Bar Association (WCBA) has announced its candidate ratings in connection with the November 4, 2025 general election for various judicial offices. This announcement comes after the WCBA Executive Committee confirmed the report of the Judiciary Committee’s findings.

At our Gala this spring, I spoke about how showing up can create unexpected and meaningful opportunities. The more I have seen of this profession, the more I have come to believe that the simple act of being present—at a meeting, a CLE, a social, or a courtroom— can change the course of a career, and sometimes even a life.

I was recently saddened to see a video of the residents of Barcelona spraying water on tourists as they dined outdoors at a local restaurant. Like a number of other cities and countries in Europe, the natives are fed up with having so many tourists (predominantly Americans) visiting them. Some have gone as far as to propose a tax on tourists for just stepping on their soil. How dare we walk around their hallowed cities in our Nikes!
