Westchester County Bar Foundation

The Westchester County Bar Foundation, Inc. (“WCBF”), established in 1984, is the charitable arm of the Westchester County Bar Association.  Its goal is to contribute to the improvement of the administration of justice and encourage a better public understanding of the law.

The Foundation also recognizes the outstanding service of non-judicial employees of the Ninth Judicial District with the Annual Joseph F. Gagliardi Award for Excellence.

Each year, the Foundation holds a Benefit for the Public Interest Fellowship to defray the cost of a salary of a pro bono attorney at one of the County's non-profit legal agencies.

Public Interest Fellowship
In September 2007, the Foundation established a two-year public interest law fellowship. The Fellowship provides legal help to the county's underserved residents, and also provides training to a new lawyer who otherwise might not have the opportunity to do public interest work.
