Westchester Bar Journal
The Westchester Bar Journal is published annually. The first one was published in 1956.
It is the goal of the Editorial Committee to ensure that the Bar Journal remains a scholarly legal publication of the highest quality. The Editorial Committee endeavors that the Bar Journal provides WCBA members with informative and timely articles on diverse areas of law.
We welcome Bar Journal submissions from current WCBA members and law school students (it is a requisite). Submission details are as follows:
-
Articles should be between 1500-4000 words in length and all citations should be written in accordance with a Uniform System of Citation published by The Harvard Law Review Association, and accuracy thereof verified by the author.
-
Authors must supply articles with Endnotes (not Footnotes).
-
Generally, it is the WCBA's policy not to accept reprinted articles. If an author seeks to reprint an article, he or she MUST first advise the WCBA in advance of the prior publication name and issue date. The author must also obtain from the original publisher written permission granting the WCBA such permission to reprint the article. It is the sole responsibility of the author to fulfill this requirement.
-
Publication of submitted material gives the WCBA partial copyright and, as holder of the copyright, the Association may consent to republication on Westlaw, Lexis-Nexis, our website, or other publications.
-
All articles (in Word document format) should be accompanied by a brief biography and high resolution headshot of the author. If there are multiple contributors, please send a bio and photo for each author. All inquiries and materials should be sent to editor@wcbany.org.
-
Please note that there is a review process. The Editorial Committee reserves the right to edit and to accept or reject all articles.
