People who have never had occasion to seek the services of a lawyer, or who do not know how to go about finding one, may telephone the WCBA'S Lawyer Referral Service for a referral to a qualified attorney for consultation.

Here’s How the Service Works…

You have the need for legal advice, or perhaps have a specific problem that needs professional attention. The WCBA's Lawyer Referral Service listens to your problem, evaluates your situation and immediately refers you to a lawyer who has the experience and expertise to handle your specific problem.

You Know Your Fee in Advance…

You pay $40, to the lawyer, for the first half hour consultation. There is no fee required by the Lawyer Referral Service. There is no obligation on your part to pay more or go further. However, if the consultation discloses that you need further legal work, you can arrange for it at a cost agreed upon by you and the attorney.

The Right Lawyer for You…

The WCBA's Lawyer Referral Service is available to anyone who may need legal advice, and who does not have a lawyer or know how to go about finding one. We will provide you with an unbiased referral to a lawyer who is in good standing, who is insured and who has experience with your particular type of legal problem.

CALL US at (914) 761-5151

NOTE: The WCBA LRS is NOT a free (pro bono) service.  If You CAN NOT AFFORD a Lawyer, please call one of the organizations below that provide free legal services to those who qualify.
