The purpose of the Paralegal Committee is to provide a forum to disseminate information, present programs, and discuss issues that relate to the paralegal profession and the utilization of paralegals within the law office environment. We welcome comments and suggestions as to how we can better serve the members of the Westchester County Bar and the public.
What is a paralegal?
“A legal assistant or paralegal is a person, qualified by education, training or work experience who is employed or retained by a lawyer, law office, corporation, governmental agency or other entity and who performs specifically delegated substantive legal work for which a lawyer is responsible." (ABA Definition)
