Website and Technology Committee
Since the launch of the Westchester County Bar Association Website in July of 2005, the Website Committee has monitored and encouraged the site's development and usage. In 2009, the WCBA is launching an all new website, which you are reading this page as a part of. Think of it as WCBA, 2.0. Please contact John McCarron with your comments, suggestions, and concerns. The architecture of the new website is quite robust, and we are looking to continually improve the site's functionality using this robust architecture.
Throughout this year, the Committee has conducted several meetings and has worked closely with the staff to:
- Identify problem areas of the current website
- Brainstorm ideas to improve the current website format and content
- Monitor the process of replacing the current website management firm
- Create and distribute a website usage and satisfaction survey
Attached to this report is the website usage and satisfaction survey that was distributed via email to select groups of the WCBA community. The Committee will use the results of the survey as a guide for future decisions on the layout and content of the website.
However, the WCBA staff has emphasized that before any changes can be made to the format and content of the website, the WCBA must engage a new firm to manage and monitor the website. The Committee recognizes that any action in this area will have a substantial impact on the WCBA budget and must be approved by the Executive Director and the WCBA leadership.
