WCBA Community Outreach

Purpose:

Outreach entails the involvement of attorneys in the community for the purposes of education and increasing familiarity with the law (and its possible benefit of affecting negative public perception lawyers). The Westchester County Bar Association’s members believe that better informed people will result in better prepared citizens in our democracy.

Program:

The WCBA Community Outreach Program consists of two parts:

Annual High School Mock Trial Competition --- all high schools (public and private) are invited to participate. All competing schools must complete a registration form which will becomes available every fall.  Watch for results of the 2013 Competition in the March Newsletter!

Education Outreach to the Schools and to the Community - "Lawyers-in-the-Classroom" / a "Speakers' Bureau." Members of the WCBA are asked to participate and all schools and community organizations may request speakers.
